Market hours

Stock market hours around the world.

The opening and closing times of twenty-three stock exchanges and the equity index futures session, in each venue's own time and in UTC, with what is trading at this moment. Open a venue for its hours in New York, London, Tokyo and eight other centres, the week ahead and its holidays.

2 of 24 venues in their regular session at 22:00 UTC, Monday 26 October 2026

Somewhere a stock exchange is open for almost every hour of the working week. The day begins in Wellington and Sydney, moves through Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Mumbai, reaches the Gulf, Johannesburg and Moscow, then Zurich, Frankfurt, Paris and London, and ends in Toronto, New York and Sao Paulo. London and New York overlap for about two hours each afternoon in Europe, and those are the busiest hours of the day.

Times below are converted for today's date, so daylight saving in each country is already applied. A venue shown as closed on a weekday is on holiday where the exchange has published its calendar; the venue pages list the holidays that are known.

Questions

Which stock exchanges are open right now?
The table on this page is computed at the moment it is loaded and shows each venue's phase: pre-market, regular session, lunch break, after-hours or closed, with the time until its next change. The Market 24h Clock in the product shows the same on one dial, live.
Which stock market opens first each day?
The New Zealand Exchange in Wellington opens first, at 10:00 local time, followed by Sydney, Tokyo, Seoul, then Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore. The last to close on a calendar day in UTC are the Americas: Toronto and New York at 16:00 Eastern, Sao Paulo shortly after.
What time does the US stock market open in UTC?
The NYSE and Nasdaq regular session runs 09:30 to 16:00 Eastern time, which is 14:30 to 21:00 UTC in winter and 13:30 to 20:00 UTC in summer, when New York is on daylight saving time.
Are stock markets open on weekends?
No. Every exchange on this page is closed on Saturday and Sunday, except the Saudi Exchange, which trades Sunday to Thursday and is closed on Friday and Saturday. Crypto trades every day; the currency market opens on Sunday evening UTC and closes on Friday evening.
Why do exchange hours shift by an hour in March and October?
Each venue trades fixed hours in its own time zone, and daylight saving changes on different dates in different countries, so the conversion between two venues shifts for the weeks when one has changed its clocks and the other has not. This page converts every session for today's date.
