Stock Picker: The Desk's Trades With Entry, Target and Stop, Scored as They Play Out

The analysts' published trades with instrument, side, entry, target, stop and reasoning, reward-to-risk computed from the levels, live distance to each level, and the open and closed record.

picks

The Stock Picker is where the desk's analysts publish their trades. Each pick states the instrument, whether the desk is long or short, the entry, the target and the stop, and the reasoning in a few lines. The reward-to-risk ratio is computed from the three levels and shown with the pick, so what each trade risks for what it aims at is on the page before anything has happened.

From the moment a pick is published it is scored against the live price: the distance from the current price to the entry, the target and the stop is refreshed every minute, and the open picks sit above a closed record that shows each trade's result, the hit rate and the average move. The record is there to be read rather than taken on trust.

The Stock Picker is on the Desk plan, which also includes portfolio management: on request, the analysts review the holdings on your portfolio page and write back what to hold, add, trim or exit, and the review appears on the page itself. Standard subscribers can switch plans from their account page.
